Matthew was invited by the Trust to join the Local Governing Committee as a ‘co-opted’ member in March 2019 and was keen to volunteer to support the schools, and was honoured to asked to become Chair of the committee in July 2022 when the previous Chair retired. Since joining Weston Federation Matthew has also become a Parent Governor at another Trust school Belgrave St Bartholomew’s Academy, and a Trustee of our Trust, St Bart’s Multi-Academy Trust, which enables him to bring wider experience and perspective to the role. Matthew lives in Longton, is married with two primary-age children and three dogs. Professionally Matthew is a tax specialist working in the Civil Service based in Birmingham. Matthew is looking forward to supporting and challenging the school leadership to continue providing excellent education and experience for the pupils and community.
